Helmed by Mary Chan (with help from her 2 sisters), who once was a pastries chef at Hotel Intercontinental and The Oriental, as well as supervisor of pastries in the now-defunct The Lighthouse restaurant at Fullerton Hotel, Chocolat N’ Spice draws long queues every day.

People come far and wide to have a taste of the delicious muffins, seafood quiches, pizzas, cheesecakes, peach flan and brownies.  Prices for the delicious muffins go between S$1 to S$1.20.  My advice? Go during off-peak hours or else, as usual, be prepared to wait and wait and wait.

Chocolat N’ Spice @ Tanjong Pagar Plaza (tel. 9276 2110) also accepts phone orders after 5.30pm (min. order 25 pcs).  Chocolat N’ Spice @ Shunfu (tel. 9383 0413) accepts phone orders only on Tuesday & Thursdays between 4 to 8pm (min. order 25 pcs).  Also call them at least 3 days in advance for regular size cake orders.

Also not listed on the their menu (Chocolat N’ Spice Menu) for muffins is the carrot & raisin (S$1.00).
