Small seafood sets ranging from S$4.90 to S$11.90; great if you want to try many dishes. You can even get whole abalone for S$11.90 and Buddha Jump Over The Wall for S$8.90. A warning – these sets are small and not filling at all if you are a big eater. And for the price you paid, don’t expect top quality abalone or shark’s fin.
Finally! I had the opportunity of tasting the food here on 20 Oct 2007. What I had was the “Top Shell Meat Fried with XO sauce + rice” (S$5.90/set) set and my colleague had the “Fish Maw Pottage + rice” set (S$4.90/set).
We did a take-away which was great coz if we had to eat there, it would have been too hot since it’s an open kitchen and the seating is really very limited.
What I got for my top shell set was a few pieces of top shell fried with celery and cabbages. I did not taste the XO sauce and it was supposed to be spicy but in reality, it was not. Overall, it was tasty though and value for money. We even got a white fungus dessert with our set but no Chinese tea. 😛
