Starting at S$3.50 a bowl, you will get a bowl of noodles with one piece of potato, 2 pieces of chicken, a few slices of fish cakes, a few pieces of tau pok (fried beancurd) and curry sauce. The best thing about the curry is that they have customized it so that it is not too heavy and overly laden with coconut, resulting in a very light curry.
One thing I don’t like is that they have oodles of oil in the curry sauce. Portion at S$3.50 is enough for a small eater; they have other portions at S$4.50 and S$5.50. A bit ex I might add, given the measly amount of ingredients that they give me. Taste-wise, it’s not that bad if you can take away the oil.
If you do take a take-away, they put it in the plastic container (rather than plastic bags) so that you can simply pop it into the microwave to heat up. You can also ask them to separate the curry sauce for you.
Do patronise this stall rather than the more famous one downstairs. Service for one is so much better! Since I have to eat there rather frequently these days, I’ll let you find out for yourself why. 😀
